Stunt Lab is made by Stunt Culture Pty Limited (ABN 94 673 554 964) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Stunt Lab app and website do with your information. It's written to be read, not skimmed. It's short because we don't collect much.
Everything you create in the app is stored on your device only: clips, analysis scores and breakdowns, check-ins, goals, your first name, your leaderboard handle, and any profile photo or bio you add. If you delete the app, or use Delete my data, it's gone. We can't recover it because we never had it.
Coach messages. The app asks for your OK before your first message to Coach, and you can switch Coach chat off in Profile. To answer you, the app sends your typed or spoken message, the recent conversation, the short training notes Coach keeps from earlier chats, and a summary of your training data: scores and sub-scores, check-in answers (how the session felt, balks, confidence), your goal skill and progression step, and your first name and age band (teen or adult). It goes to Anthropic, PBC, whose Claude model generates the reply. Anthropic processes this to provide the service under its commercial API terms; it does not use API inputs to train its models. Voice input is transcribed on your phone before anything is sent. Never send personal details (school, address, full name) in chat. The coach doesn't need them and will not ask for them.
Clips you choose to send us. If you tap "Send it to us" on a result, the clip and its result go from your own email or messages app to Stunt Lab. Nothing is sent unless you do this. A coach watches the rep against the score, and we use sent clips to check, train and test the analysis. We don't use them in marketing unless you've separately told us we can. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you send. Ask us at support@stuntlab.app to delete a clip you sent, and we will.
Invite codes. When you enter an invite code, the app sends the code and a random ID made for that install, and nothing else, so our server can check the code and stop it being shared.
Founding badge. If you came in on an invite code, the app sends that code and the same random ID again now and then, so it can show a founding member their badge. What comes back is a group and a place number. Nothing about you is sent.
The waitlist in the app. If you put your name down in the app, we keep your name, your email and whether you're an athlete, parent or coach, to send your invite and Stunt Lab news. The sign-up also records the internet address and device type it came from. The same applies to the waitlist on our website.
Notifications. Training reminders are scheduled on your phone. If you allow notifications, the app registers your phone with Apple's push service, through our provider Expo, so we can tell you when your group opens or when there's news about Stunt Lab. We use that push address for nothing else, and you can turn notifications off in your phone's Settings.
Purchases. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Our subscription service, RevenueCat, receives the purchase record from Apple so the app knows your membership is active. Neither we nor RevenueCat receive your card details or your Apple ID password.
Leaderboards (when enabled). If leaderboards are switched on in Settings, your handle and your skill scores, and nothing else, are shared with other athletes on the board. Handles are anonymous by default; don't put your real name in one. Turn it off any time in Settings.
Website. If you join the waitlist on our site, we keep your email address, your first name if you give it, and whether you're an athlete, parent or coach, to tell you about the launch and send your invite. The form also records the internet address (IP) and the browser the sign-up came from. If you apply to be a Lab Partner or an Ambassador, we keep what you put on the form (including your socials, follower numbers and, for anyone under 18, a parent or guardian's name and email) and the consent choices you ticked, to review your application and contact you. Emails are sent for us by Resend (resend.com), and form details are stored with our website host, Netlify. Unsubscribe from any email we send.
Skip the line. When you join the waitlist we give you a personal link. If friends join with it, we keep their emails against yours so each one counts once. To check that friends are real, separate people, we may compare the internet address and browser recorded with each sign-up. Your count, and your founding place if you have one, are shown only to you, on your own private page. The website shows totals only: how many people are on the waitlist and how many founding places are taken. We use this only to decide who has a founding place and the order people are invited in.
Visits to our website. We count visits to stuntlab.app with DataFast (datafa.st). It records the page you open, the site or link that sent you, your browser and device type and your rough location (worked out from your internet address, which isn’t kept as part of your visit). It sets its own cookies on our site with a random ID so a return visit isn’t counted as someone new: the visitor cookie lasts a year and the visit cookie half an hour. It doesn’t record your name or email, and we use it only to see how people find the site. The app itself doesn’t use DataFast.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
Stunt Lab is built for the athletes who train these skills, and plenty of them are primary-school age. We don’t set our own age limit, because the App Store already does: downloading an app needs an Apple Account, and a younger athlete uses Stunt Lab through a family account, where a parent approves the download and any purchase.
What that means for privacy is simple. Scoring, clips and progress live on the phone, so a younger athlete can use the whole training side of the app without any personal information reaching us or anyone else. Nothing leaves the phone unless someone chooses to: the coach chat, a clip sent to us, or a name on the waitlist, all described above. A parent can leave these unused or ask us to remove anything that was sent. There is no messaging between users in Stunt Lab, leaderboard handles are anonymous by default, and we never show a child’s real name to anyone.
Coach for under-13s. An athlete who has told the app they are under 13 gets Coach’s built-in answers: a few common questions, answered on the phone itself. They can’t type or speak to Coach, and nothing from the Coach tab is sent to us or to Anthropic, unless a parent switches typing on as described below.
A parent’s OK for Coach chat. An athlete who has told the app they are under 13 can ask a parent or guardian to switch on typing to Coach. When they do, the app sends us that parent’s email address and the athlete’s first name, and we send the parent one email explaining what Coach chat sends and to whom. Nothing is switched on unless the parent approves on the page that email opens. If they do, we keep the parent’s email address, the athlete’s first name and the date as the record of their consent, and we keep the same if they later switch it off, which they can do from the same email at any time.
Parents: if you’d like to see or delete anything connected to your child, email support@stuntlab.app and we’ll sort it out. If you’re under 18, use Stunt Lab with your parent or guardian’s permission.
The app describes what a filmed rep looks like. It never tells you whether to attempt a skill. That decision belongs to you and your in-person coach. See the Terms of Use.
You're in control of everything on your device. For anything that reached us (waitlist details, applications, clips you sent, coach messages held briefly by our AI provider), you can ask us to access, correct or delete it, or withdraw a consent you gave, by emailing support@stuntlab.app. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles; if you're in the UK or EU you have equivalent rights under GDPR. If you're not happy with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change applies.
